Hey everyone,
A quick update on Readio, the AI-powered reading companion I wrote about a few months ago.
I've decided to pause development on it for now.
This wasn't an easy call. I genuinely love the idea. I'm someone who reads multiple books at the same time and often comes back to a book after a week away with no memory of what was happening or who a character was. The problem Readio was trying to solve is real, and I still think there's something worth building there.
But honestly, my bandwidth has filled up with other things. Radzi has been taking up a lot of my time and energy, and more recently I've started co-founding Zynthia with a couple of colleagues. Both of those feel urgent in a way that Readio, which is still very much a one-person side project, doesn't right now.
So rather than half-commit and let it drag along without making real progress, I'd rather pause it properly and come back to it when I can give it the attention it deserves.
The readio.uk waitlist is still up. If you signed up, thank you. I haven't forgotten about it and I do still want to build it at some point.
For now though, on to other things.
